Kanban boards with weeks in column

hast40 December 23, 2019

Hello,

We would like to use a kanban board to follow our projects, but instead of having the status in column (ex: to do, in progress....), we would like to have the due date in "weeks" (ex: this week, next week, week +3 and week +4).

Is there a way to do that ?

We could for example create the different status: To do, this week, next week, week +3 and week +4 and use the "automation for jira" plug-in to change the status automatically depending on current date and issue due date ?

Thank you,

Kanban boards are intended to work with status, not arbitrary fields.  So, no, there's no way to do anything like that.

Yes I know that kanban board are intended to work with status. That's why I'have suggested to use the "automation for jira" plug-in to change the status automatically depending on current date and issue due date field, with the following status (for example):

To do-> the task needs to be done

this week -> the task is due this week

next week, -> the task is due next week

But I don't know if it would work, and what would happen if we drag and drop an issue within the Kanban.

Thank you.
