Mobile app for Jira server beta (0.1.2) won't connect

I've installed this and also the mobile app in Jira but when I try to connect from the phone app I always get the message "Something went wrong. We're not sure what happened, but logging back in should fix it".

Looking at the mobile app in Jira I notice that not all the dependent modules are loaded, two are marked as disabled and the UI doesn't let me change them:

Jira core board mobile service (core-mobile-board-service)

and 

rdbms-schema-module

I have a suspicion that this may be the root of the issue?

I know this is an early Beta but wondered if anyone else had come across this issue and solved it?
