I noticed that the number series of the Jira issues does not get copied when you use the Jira Scriptrunner built in script "Copy Project". Has anybody noticed this also and do you have a fix?
Example:
The original project that I want to copy had for some reason deleted their first issue (ABC-1) so the "ABC-2" with the name "issue name 2" as the issue with the lowest number.
So in my test env, when I copied this project, (they wanted to change the Jira project name and key), the copy started with issue no 1. So the ABC-2 called "Issue name 2" now ended up being called XXX-1. It can happen that you need to delete an issue for some reason. I know Jira will find the issue anyway, but it would be nice if the numbers were kept when you do a copy of the project.
Is there any solution to this? Can the number series be copied also?
