Plugin GUI with Java

Steve Vogel July 21, 2014

Hi

I'm new to Atlassian and Plugins and haven't some experience.

I would like to create a plugin with a gui. Now, is it possible to create a Java GUI for the plugin. And if not, is it possible to run Javacode from the plugin.

Or is it better to create a Java Application with the REST API?

Thanks for the answers

You can use JAVA to develop plugins and UI. Different plugin modules can be found here and this is a good place to start!

There are also couple of JIRA Development books out there - JIRA Development Cookbook from myself and Practical JIRA Plugins from Matt. Might be of use ;)

You can find a lot of tutorials online as well, including mine from J-Tricks.
