Clonning JIRA Server

Kubilay Onur Gungor June 23, 2015

Hi I have JIRA server running on vm.

I cloned this server, changed ip address in the same network.

It is running extremely slow.

Is there any file i need to change or something?

Thanks

Make sure that your cloned instance has unique configuration files, as per of:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Establishing+Staging+Server+Environments+for+JIRA#EstablishingStagingServerEnvironmentsforJIRA-3.3Modifyyourstagingenvironmentfortheuniqueconfigurations

As having the same db configuration might be impacting to this slowness, and may cause more issues.

Cheers,

Pedro Souza.

that wiki mainly copying the stuff and moving the other server. I made complete OS HDD clonning. so should be work as long as i think. But it is too slow even cannot login. For example for DB name, can i change it directly in DB? are there any other config files in jira. because i cannot see the interface so cannot manage anything from jira interface. need to use command line.
