×Hello. We have identified an issue (IWU-292) with the Create Page macro. Wanted to get a the vendor (Adaptavist) feedback on this.
TEST CASE:
1 as any Wiki user access any space, e.g. https://wiki.wdf.sap.corp/wiki/display/~C5157247/Home
2 click on Create-> Blank page-> Create
3 Click on Insert drop down -> other macros -> Create page
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
Macro should work properly. Macro should display without errors in macro browser
OBSERVED BEHAVIOR:
Before adding information in the "Parent" string in macrobrowser there is "Unable to locate the desired parent page"
Confluence 5.8.8 - reproducible.png
The macro can't detect the "parent" page since this is a new page...
Is this a Bug or miss designed feature?
We are using Confluence 5.8.8 and Create page version 3.2.6.
Hi @Aryhe Segal,
Could you please try upgrading to Create Page v3.2.9 and let us know if you see this issue. I have tried to recreate your issue using Create Page v3.2.9 and I couldn't see the error in Preview section.
Kind Regards

Hi @Aryhe Segal,
Hope this finds you well. Can you please let me know the version of Create Page and the version of Confluence that your instance is currently running. This is for us to replicate your issue using the same versions. Please get back to us with the version details and we will investigate this for you.
Kind Regards

Hello @Divya Margani [Adaptavist],
We updated the plugin to latest version. The error message is still displayed.
As I said, I believe this is because "The macro can't detect the "parent" page since this is a new page..."
Can you check if a ticket should be opened on your side? (When the parent is not known there should be a relevant message instead of the default message).
