Epic (Project A)
     User Story (Project B)
          Technical Task (Project B)
     New Feature (Project C)
          Sub-Task (Project C)

The question here is, does the Gantt-Chart supportt indented levels in multiple projects, by starting with the Epic, followed by the Stories and Sub-tasks?

Yes it does, but not always, maybe perhaps to limited space to display all needed columns.

Hi Juliano, you must use a different add-on as I have not published a cloud-version of my Gantt-Chart for JIRA (I assume, you are using "Gantt-Chart PROJECT for JIRA" by Soyatec): using my solution behind the firewall, you can do this as documented below. Kind regards, Frank

Hi Mercedes Soria, I use Gant Chart for JIRA cloud and have the same problem. Do you found a solution? Thanks Juliano Granadeiro

Using my Gantt-Chart for JIRA, you can display as requested by Jose above:

  • my first epic (here: issue within project DEMO)
    • my story (here: DEMO-1)
      • my sub-task (here: DEMO-7)
    • my first story (here: SP-1)
      • my other sub-task (here: SP-6)
    • my second story (here: SP-2)
  • my second epic ....

In order to archieve such view, you have to create a JIRA filter having a JQL "ORDER BY epic name" (adapt epic name to your JIRA instance based on your language) and name it e.g. "my epics". Create your epics within a project having an agile board supporting multiple projects. Assign your stories of that multi projects to your epics with JIRA Agile and create sub-tasks per stories. Then select my Gantt-Chart tab within a project of your choice, select the filter "my epics" and enable Gantt option "multi-projects" to display all issues being retrieved by the filter independent from the current project.

epics having stories and tasks of multi-projects

Kind regards,
Frank

Hi, I am havint the same proble with the Soyatec Gantt char software, I created a list of tasks associated with a project. I wanted the video in you tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0xvsmdrWucthat shows that you can create tasks and then right mouse click + indent will indent the tasks, when I do that the tasks are indented and look fine but as soon as I leave the page and come back to it, all of the indentation goes away and I am left with just one giant list of stuff. Can someone please assist? is there a 'save' button I am missing?

thanks a lot!!
