Errors when trying to update objects after objects were moved

Trina Washington May 11, 2018

We are running Insight version 5.4.5.  Recently, I added new object group with inherited attributes to our main assets object group.  I then moved over 5000 assets from the Hardware object to the newly created object group Auditing.  Once they were moved because there was an parent child relationship the original object group Hardware shows the 5000 objects as well.

This is the setup we wanted to so permissions could be set on the Auditing object group.  Some members of our team did not care for the new configuration and asked for the Auditing group to be removed.  So I moved all the assets back to the Hardware object group.  After doing that when ever any one tries to do multiple updates to an asset they receive an error "Error: object type attribute not valid(id:1,628).  If you do just one update to an object, there's no error message.  Any ideas why this is happening

Hi Trina,

Did you try to do an Insight reindex? https://documentation.riada.se/insight/latest/insight-administrator-s-guide/index-of-objects

If you did and the problem is still there it would be awesome if you can open a support issue at support.riada.se.

Cheers

Yes we did re-index and we're still getting the errors.  I also put in a support issue at support.riada.se, it was suggested to update to the latest version of Insight. We did that, and we are still experiencing the same errors.
