Hi,
I am facing an issue to set the value of a field from the issue parent by using a following post function “Set Field Value from Parent “ to workflow transaction.
The post function “Set Field Value from Parent” is working for all other jira fields (including custom fields), but it is not working for “Labels” field.
What I am trying to achieve, I wanted to copy the Parent issue “Labels” field value to a sub-task labels fields.
JIRA version: 4.4.3
Misc Workflow Plug-in version: 2.4.1.
Thanks
Ganga S
Hi guys
I've found the following BUG record from Atlassian system. Please let's vote for this increasing the bug fix importance.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-5913
Cheers,
Paulo Renato
Sorry about that. Although Label-type custom fields were supported, the built-in Labels field wasn't...
I've now fixed that for the next versions (see https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/JMWE-83)

As On Demand customer i really have no way to force the upgrade of the component. Can you please force the release of the plugin and send it to Atlassian guys to speed up the process?
Thanks for your help
Federico

No. Unfortunately, I couldn't release the Jira 5.1-compatible version of JMWE in time for the Jira 5.1 release. So I don't know when the next pgrade train will be...

Is this already solved in the latest release?
I can copy components at subtask creation, but not labels.

It is. But labels are special, and thus might need some fiddling with post-function order when using the function in the Create transition.

You might need to move the post-function to after "Create the issue originally".

I've just gone and checked the source code for 2.4.3 , and it has been fixed there as well, even though the fixVersion is flagged as 2.5.0, so give 2.4.3 a try, which does work in 4.4.3

Hi James,
I've originally opened the https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/JMWE-83. I'm on 2.5.1 (AOD) but I don't think tha the solution is really available.
I've also commented the issue.

Thi is a known problem in 2.4.1 of the JMWE, see https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/JMWE-83.
The good news is that it is fixed in version 2.5.0, so you should be able to get the new version and fix your problem.

thanks for the update.... unfortunately 2.5.0 wont support JIRA 4.4.3 or 4.4.4.
