Despite best efforts, builds may hang. Having a built-in capability (or pluggable capability, in the case of HungBuildKiller) to act upon a detected hang is a valuable safeguard to keep the build "pipes" "unclogged" and "flowing".
Is HungBuildKiller going to be officially supported? Is it going to be rolled into Bamboo proper? Please don't leave this plugins users ... hanging ...
We still use the HBK internally at Atlassian so Atlassian's Build Engineering team (different from the Bamboo dev team) have been keeping it up-to-date and working with the latest Bamboo releases.
As far as I know there are no plans to roll it into Bamboo proper. I'd reiterate what Raul mentioned and encourage people to vote/comment on: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-931
I answer you, I was looking for an answer and i found that main developer of HungBuildKiller plugin doesn't work anymore in Atlassian, so I understand that plugin will remain obsolete.
Only that we can do is vote in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-931 to say to Atlassian how important is when an agent is hung...
