JEMH: Can CC'd emails be added to a custom field AND as watchers?

I have a JEMH profile set up that will add any CC'd email to Watchers if the email address is associated with an account in our JIRA directory (JIRA-USERS AD group).  If the email address is not recognized by JIRA, it is not transferred into JIRA.

I set up a custom field called "CC'd emails" and changed the JEMH profile to copy the CC'd emails to this new custom field.  This worked but unfortunately it no longer added recognized emails as watchers.

Is there a way to set up the JEMH profile so that CC'd emails associated with a JIRA account will be added as Watchers while at the same time unrecognized CC'd emails will be added to this custom field?

Hi Erica,

A leetle late, sorry, support@thepluginpeople.com is prompter.

In order to add addresses /users as watchers those users must have the JIRA permission BROWSE_ISSUE IIRC.  We don't do that on the fly, so another option is to send them to a multi-user picker custom field rather than watchers.  You can then use that field in the notification scheme regardless of ability to 'view' the issue.
