Jeditor: Copy & Past screen shot in the Jeditor

Hi There,

I am using copy screen shot and paste function in the Jeditor.

For:
1. Firefox: the copy paste screenshot is working fine
2. IE: it do nothing when paste in the Jeditor
3. Chrome: It show the Paste windows (as per attached), but do nothing after Ctrl + V

Please advise

Jeditor 1.5.9 , Windows 7, java version "1.6.0_37", JIRA version 5.1

This issue has nothing to do with JEditor, but is related to the security model of the Internet browsers. Direct pasting works for Firefox and doesn’t work for Google Chrome and IE.

BTW: If you paste a large image (>5MB) with Firefox and save the comment/description (the image will be saved as text encoded to base64) you may experience performance issues when scrolling the page.

However it is possible to automatically upload the image from the clipboard to server and paste it to JEditor (as seen in Gmail). This will add Chrome to the list where such a copypaste works. We will try to add this function during 2013 Q2.
