Jira Service Desk Add-On User Profiles - can you search on custom fields

hello,

We are using this add-in and staff wants to know then when in the JSD Customers DB if you can search by the User Profile Custom Fields (i.e. if I create phone number, can I find customer via their number?).

I tried and couldn't so wanted to see if there is a special way or something I need to enable.  Thanks!

I assume you are referring to the customer search under https://YOURDOMAIN/projects/KEY/customers.

We take these requests very seriously. The comments they receive (like the one I just created) help us to gauge public interest and assist us in allocating resources for future development.

Otherwise it is possible to search for Jira issues with a user profile field. When a user profile field is added to a screen, you can also search for it. But of course you will only find a result when the the customer is a reporter on a ticket.
