I have updated our (well working) JIRA instance from v6.2.4 to v7.0.5. During this procedure I also updated the plugins as available and, for instance, installed the latest
Now, every time after I edit an issue (no matter if inline or in the edit issue dialog), I get following error message:
-----
Saving of <issue number> failed!
java.lang.NoClasssDefFoundError:
onepoint/project/team/plugins/jira/OpHandlerEvent
-----
Since this error message clearly points to the onepoint plugin I wonder if you know how to fix this.
Sincerely
Matthias Basler
This error disappeared after another re-start of the JIRA service. Looks like this was another case of JIRA being "confused" after updating several plugins in a row (without re-start inbetween.)
Conclusion: After updating major plugins, always shut down and re-start your JIRA service in order to avoid strange effects.
