Paste image into jedit not working

Ctl V of an image into JEditor no longer works - just produces a whitespace or broken image.

RIght click paste produces the "Because of your browser security settings, the editor is not able to access your clipboard data directly" window.

Chrome browser - no change in version - I'm on the latest for several weeks, and paste worked as early as this afternoon
