Cannot update organizations with addon-pl.com.tt.jira.plugin.excel2jira

I have installed 'Excel Connector for Jira' to my Jira account and my Excel. I can successfully view issues, and update back to Jira - except the Organizations value which is the one field I really want to update (I am looking for ways to bulk update Organisation value to a large number of issues)

Does this app update Organizations?

Thank you for reporting this, it appears we have some problems with this field, we will take a closer look at this:

Actually, you can do a bulk update and it could be even more efficient if you use Jira built in mechanism. Here is an example (Jira Server version) of making a bulk change of issues from the filter:

1. Filter relevant issues, and use button in top right hand corner for bulk operation (if you don't see it as Jira Administrator for this permission or ask Jira Administrator to perform this operation):

2. Again select issues:

3. Choose type of operation (Edit issues):

4. Choose field you want to edit, in this case organization and type in new organization:

5. Confirm:

6. Acknowledge:

7. When you are done it will bring you back to the filter you started with, I started with 2 organizations AAA and BBB, after bulk change it showed 0 results. So now I've modified by adding new organization "NEW CCC" to verify:

Thanks for this. I'll give it a try. But would be very helpful if you could fix the Organisations field in your plugin
