Draw.io in Confluence but not Jira

How useful is Draw.io for Jira beyond the Draw.io for Confluence Add-on?  We have both Jira and Confluence connected thru app-links, and plan to install Draw.io in Confluence.  What benefit does the Jira Add-on have, can Jira users create a diagram within Jira and not in Confluence?

Yes, each plugin creates diagrams in either host. Most users find the Confluence plugin provides more value, but some still find diagrams in issues handy.

To add onto David's comments, we have often heard that users do not like to create a diagram for each Jira ticket that they create as tickets have such a short lifespan. However, users DO find diagramming in Jira really helpful on the Epic level and also for design (i.e. wireframes, UI/UX).
