Hi Team,
We are in the process of jira clean up. We could identify below fields are less used. But unable to get what values are filled and what these fields were used for, from issue navigator. User wants to check the field value details, so that he can validate filed as used/unused.
Cf Name and CFID are given below:
Guidelines -
11384 Field 'cf[11384]' is not searchable, it is only sortable. This is since the field is from Toolkit plugin. Already checked with you
Notification1 –
12707 - Field 'cf[12707]' is not searchable, it is only sortable. This is since the field is from Toolkit plugin. Already checked with you
Product vendor Atlassian confirmed that these custom fields are created using Toolkit plugin. Custom Filed (created using this plugin) information is not stored in the table 'customfieldvalue'(jira database table)
Could you suggest a solution to get these field values
Regards,
Anila
I got the same problem. The only sortable custom field type was Text field (single line). Strangely other custom fields in same type are searchable. The difference was "search Template" setting for the custom field. Searchable custom fields are set to "Free Text Searcher" while only sortable is set to "None". After edit this search template and then reindex, the custom field is now searchable. Hoping this helps.

You can see from the Toolkit plugin that some of the types of fields they offer have no searchable or useful data -- https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JTOOL/overview
Why don't you tell us what TYPE of field this is.

The nature of the fields that are not searchable means that they don't contain data you would ever have a need to search on. That's why they're not searchable - it's pointless.
