I'm using Insight and have installed the SCCM app. When I attempt authentication to the SCCM SQL DB using domain credentials it fails to authenticate. I've confirmed I can log on to the DB via MS SQL Server Management studio with those same creds. Is a local SQL user needed to authenticate with this product?
To answer my own question. A local SQL user is needed to authenticate the SCCM integration to the SCCM DB.
I find it strange that this is your outcome.
The Insight Import allows you to choose Native Authentication so this should be possible.
For me when I configure this (and my server is configured with Windows Authentication) I get some errors regarding the driver not being configured for integrated authentication

Thanks, Dirk. I was using v1.2.0 when I asked this question. v1.4.0, released in Feb. 2019, added support for native and kerberos authentication types.

I see, didn't think that far :)
At least you should be able to move to Native Authentication now!
