Insight - Asset Management

Hi

I'm new to the Insight Asset Management tool and would like some help.  Our team have the mandate to manage our call center agent's skillset.  Today, we have agents (700) that have different skills (about 1000) with different level of knowledge (1 expert, 2 intermediate, 3 basic).

What we want to be able to do is that following a training, the agent's skill "X" will move from level 3 Basic to 1 Expert.  The only way I was able to do this now is to create and attribute field Skill with the skill X Level 1, X Level 2, X Level 3.  The risk that we have foreseen is a duplicate in skills because we can easily assign both Skill X Level 1 and Skill X level 2 to the same agent.

My question is, is there a better way to manage the skill level so that we can change the level of a particular skill?

Also, how can I understand the possible relation between objects (is there a diagram of the Insight Database)?

Hi Mory, and welcome to Insight :)

Regarding your first question; In insight, there are often more than one way to achieve a requirement, and a lot may depend on your specific use case. I will leave this question open for others to respond, and will concentrate in answering the Technical side only:

If you want to see the relations between created Objects from the User's perspective - please see our documentation: Graphical Viewer, as you can simply click a button in the UI and see your Object/Schema Map.

The Insight Database Map however, if you wish to dive under the hood, can be found in our documentation, just follow the link.
