I have set myself to become:
Could someone let me know what should be configured?
Thanks.

Thank you, this fixed the problem I had.

I don't see this Permissions (View All Worklogs) and even though I'm an admin, I still can't see worklogs. Any ideas?
Cheers!

Hi Mark
If you grant yourself the Tempo Project Manager role you will be able to see all worklogs of others that have logged work on the project's issues in the project timesheet. If you wish to see the user timesheets of others you will either have to be Team Lead or grant yourself the Approve Timesheet permission for all the teams.
For more information on the Approve Timesheet permission please see: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEAMS/Team+Permissions
Please also verify that you have the JIRA permission to Browse Users.
I hope this was helpful.
Best regards,
Heiða Dóra
Tempo Team

Is there a design decision behind this? I just want to list a user's detailed work log and don't want to approve anything. Now if I don't have the Approve Timesheet permission, the "View Timesheet" menu still appears if I click the small cogwheel besides the user's name on the timesheet, but that gives me an access denied error. In other words, I see all the worklogs of the Team and I can click a specific worklog entry on a specific day beside a user, but I would have to manually write down all the entries in them, then go to the next day and repeat, which is a bit cumbersome.

The directions given by Heiða Dóra as well as the Tempo documentation are not sufficiently clear and could be improved. This is what I found to work for me so that user X can see user Y's timesheets: User Y should belong to a Tempo Team, say A Select Team A from the Tempo dropdown Click on Configuration tab Click on Permissions link on the left navigation panel On the main page, looking at the row for "Approve Timesheet" permission, add user X to the list of Users User X then needs to logout then log back again to JIRA for it to work.

I don't see why you have to create teams to view a user's timesheet, that's what the "user" dropdown is for? It's definitely flawed in the nesting.

Totally agree with Ben here. I have a worse problem, which Juan's description doesn't help with: I can't see only one time user's timesheet out of the team! What could cause that?

Thanks this solved my problem I had created couple of new users but when I went to user timesheets, I was unable to browse the users, their names did not show up in the search.
I followed the solution that was mentioned, where my problem seemed to be with
"If you wish to see the user timesheets of others you will either have to be Team Lead or grant yourself the Approve Timesheet permission for all the teams."
Though I was the project lead, I was unable to see the user's timesheet. I added the two users to a project team on Tempo, when to team permissions and added the jira-administrators groups (which I am part of) for browse team, approve time sheet and plan time. I was able to view both the user's timesheet

Thank you for also mentioning the global JIRA permission to "Browse Users".

I have added myself the Tempo Project Managers role, still couldn't view my Tempo team's work log.
I had to manually add myself as a Single User to the View All Worklog permission (which already has the Tempo Project Managers role) THEN I could see the work logs

Okay, I think I got it.
The View All Worklog permission is not necessary, the Tempo Project Manager is enough.
However :-) setting the Tempo Project Manager does not happen instantly. It seems like Tempo permissions sometimes need 10+ minutes to take effect!!!

After spending more than a day wrapping my ahead around a obvious fact of not being able to see other users' timesheets (despite being project team lead, system administrator, having "approve timesheets" permissions, etc.), I solved the issue our case. Thanks Heiða for mentioning the global JIRA permission to "Browse Users" - this was the culprit! My user did not have that permission (a management-level person, not dealing with JIRA issues on a daily basis). After granting myself the permission, I can instantly pick any other user (I have access to).

I have to say that I'm so disappointed with this decision!! Took me hours and can't figure it out, I could easily see all my team members timesheets, but now I can't. Bad communication and documentation.
The standard practice should be, the existing functionalities shouldn't change after each release!!
I am JIRA Admin and Tempo team lead. I'm too busy to read all that doco. Really bad experience!!!

could you tell me what the decision is ,you mentioned ?
cos i have the same problem: all permissions have added ,but i can't view others' timesheets.

You need to either change the permission scheme to add your group or user to "view all worklogs" or add per project base permissions to be added as tempo project manager.
This was a real pain in the ass to figure out.... Not happy that they did this.

This is what I found to work for me so that user X can see user Y's timesheets:
User Y should belong to a Tempo Team, say A
Select Team A from the Tempo dropdown
Click on Configuration tab
Click on Permissions link on the left navigation panel
On the main page, looking at the row for "Approve Timesheet" permission, add user X to the list of Users
User X then needs to logout then log back again to JIRA for it to work.
I am using Tempo 7.16.1.2 and JIRA 7.0.2

Hi Midori,
I have set all users as Tempo Project Manager for each of the projects. But the system still won't allow me to view their timesheets.

Hi Mark,
"Tempo Project Manager" role should be enough, here you may find information on how to configure it properly: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Permissions+to+View+Worklogs

It sees one users was right, once yo uhave added the role Tempo Project Manager, wait few minutes to take effect.
I lost hours playing with all permission, and testing in real time with no luck, then I put back the Role and wait 10 minutes, then tadaaaaaa it works

When I try to access that page it says "quentin.brooks@perspectanalytics.com doesn't have access to Confluence on tempoplugin.jira.com."
