I'm using the REST API to populate a series of repeatable stories for a common template to be re-used by different teams in different projects. The goal is to provide each team with a good starting point and pre-defined stories.
I also want to drive the WBS Gantt view by entering dependence (links) and default duration. Is there a field that stores the entered duration on a story?
Hi Tim,
There is not currently a public REST API for WBS Gantt-chart but has the ticket template function: Managing an issue template
You can convert issues to the template, share Issue Templates with teams and create issues on the WBS and Gantt chart screen from the issue template in the specified project. it's possible to take over the duration( and dependencies on issues templates.
If you have any questions, please contact Ricksoft, Inc Service Desk

Jennifer,
Thanks Jennifer. I've tried the template functionality, but since our last JIRA upgrade (v712) it doesn't seem to be working.
I don't see the template mode option, though I am project admin for the project. The Gantt is based on a filter though - could that be the problem?
