The JSU plugin is compatible up to the latest JIRA version, currently 7.3.7 .
We are usually quite quick to bring out a new version if necessary to maintain compatibility with the latest JIRA version.
Updating/replacing the .jar files directly on the server is normally not necessary to update the plugin. Just use the UPM ihn the JIRA admin. Only if you run into some obscure troubles, it might help to completely remove the jar file (and its cached siblings) and re-install it agin. (As with any other plugin.)
Hi Charles,
Are you sure it is not compatible?
The versions page here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.googlecode.jira-suite-utilities/versions has version 1.5.2 which is for JIRA Server 7.0.0 - 7.3.0:

Hi Sam,
Not sure if you can help with this but we currently have version 1.4.12 of this add-on installed and we recently updated to JIRA 7.0 and this version is no longer compatible. And I recall seeing somewhere that to update to 1.5.2 can't be done in teh add-on manager but must be done on the server itself by updating/replacing the .jar files. But for the life of me I can't find those installation steps anywhere. Would you happen to know where these instructions would be found?
Thanks in advance

All I could think was to look in the installation and upgrade guide here: https://jsutil.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JSUTIL/JIRA+Suite+Utilities+Installation+and+Upgrade+Guide
Or in the release notes here: https://jsutil.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JSUTIL/JIRA+Suite+Utilities+Release+Notes
But neither seems to mention those steps.
Might be worth you mailing beecom (details here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/vendors/42620) or raise something on the JSU issue tracker: https://jsutil.atlassian.net/browse/JSUTIL
