SumUp calculates summation from fields not available to the user due to issue security levels it seems. This makes the total incorrect as seen by the user.
Hey John,
are we talking about the standard security options in JIRA for issues?
We could reproduce this behauvior with an inconsistent index and fixed it by run a reindexing.
I hope this will help
Cheers
Benjamin
Hi (Just jumping in as I work with John!) The problem is this. We use issue security to determine who can see certain issues. In this case the issue security level is based on a "user" field on the issue. So I can see issues where my name is in the "employee" field for example. If I have a filter which returns a list of issues, but some issues are excluded from the displayed results due to the issue security level (because my name is not in the "employee" field), the summed value seems to include the issues which are not visible, which makes it appear to be an incorrect calculation. Does that make sense? Thanks for any help!
