Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 21:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×We currently have the issue that all Tempo work log entries are visible to all project roles, even our customers.
Maybe I am just missing the right permission/setting - how can I accomplish this?
We have enabled the setting that only Administrator Roles can see other users.
In addition we also were wondering why the visibility restriction found on the bottom of the regular Jira Log Work Screen is not integrated in the Tempo Log Work Screen. The only way to accomplish this currently is editing the Jira Work Log entry after having logged the time using Tempo... this is actually very annoying.
Thanks,
Joe
I resolved the issue by installing the "Field Security Plugin for Jira" and limiting the visibility for "Time Tracking"
I wished we would not have needed an additional Plugin for a feature we would have expected to be covered by Tempo.
Hi Joe,
You are right, this is really annoying and I think that you are missing the project permissions that allows you to set work log permissions.
Check those permission for all project and see if any user/group has the permissions.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I do not believe this to be an issue with the permissions.
We currently have the following permissions set up for projects (customers have their own defined Project Role named "Customer"):
Work On Issues Ability to log work done against an issue. Only useful if Time Tracking is turned on. |
|
Edit Own Worklogs Ability to edit own worklogs made on issues. |
|
Edit All Worklogs Ability to edit all worklogs made on issues. |
|
Delete Own Worklogs Ability to delete own worklogs made on issues. |
|
Delete All Worklogs Ability to delete all worklogs made on issues. |
