Timeout issue on gateway when we configure the JIRA xporter plugin

Hi team,

We always get a proxy error 502 when we try to confiure the xporter plugin at https://xxx/jira-dev/secure/admin/views/com.xpandit.plugins.jiraxporter.Manage.jspa?tab=managertemplates.

The version of plugin is 2.4.0 and JIRA version is 5.0.6.

We put JIRA behind the gateway, and we found there are following timeout error on gateway server:

What we need to set for the issue on gateway?

Hi Jay,

We may have a problem with loading many users in the administration. We will analyse this and get back to you as soon as possible. I guess that the timeout may be also related with that, right?

How many users do you have in your JIRA server?

Yes. I think so. We had about 60,000 users in JIRA.

Hi Jay,

We have loaded a JIRA server with 50k users and the performance problem that you reported happens.

The solution will be to drop permissions based on users, since from version 2.4.0 we support permissions based on groups.

The next version should be released during the next week.

Hi Xporter team,

Will the plugin load all users in JIRA to the configuration page? It's so slow to render out the page when we try to access it or save it. It usually takes us minutes to refresh or save a change.

Is there any known performance issue on the plugin? It seems it will take long time to render out the page for the configuration of plugin.
