What a reason of multi choose

Is it possible to presentation of the ticket release to different environments (maidens, test, sales ...)

Hi @Виктория ,

Different teams have different processes and Jira tries to be as flexible as possible so it allows multi-select on Fix Version.

As an example, one of the companies I worked for used Fix versions to track Release candidates. We had several of them before they got deployed to production and if the issue was returned from test to development fix version was added based on in which release candidate was fix delivered. So you could end up with several versions in this field :)

To visualize in what stage of the process your ticket is you can use different Statuses like In Progress, Test, UAT, Smoke test.

If you're looking for some way to visualize the stages of your releases you might like this article I posted recently on the forum 👉 https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Jira-Release-Management-How-to-improve-your-release-process

Hi @Виктория ,

at the moment we don't have a server version and we're focused on offering the best experience for the Cloud.

It really depends on what features in Swanly you wanted to use. There isn't an app on Server that offers everything that Swanly does. But I'll look for alternatives based on what problem you're trying to solve :)

@Nikki Zavadska _Appfire_ Thank you so much.
The main problem and the task of establishing the ability to choose a stand (test, prod) is not just in the name of version. In Swanly it would be convenient to use the "Type", as it seems to me.
Unfortunately, I could not find other applications with this function.

@Виктория I had a look and found this app for the server that will solve the need for having a simple release workflow like Test, UAT, Prod...

But it doesn't allow you to create different workflows for different types of releases.

Hopefully, it helps :)

@Nikki Zavadska _Appfire_ thanks, I also saw this app, ever wrote to support. But it doesn't`t give a possibility to determine a stand (test, prod) in release so...

Hi @Виктория

I guess our Release Management add-on can help to solve your problem. Also, we have a server/data center version :)

We have the functionality to:

  • Create multi-version cross-project releases
  • Define version/release workflow
  • Define all environments of your organization in a single place
  • Track where the versions/issue is deployed and simplify testing by storing all credentials in the single place
  • Also, all the information could be presented as a timeline, kanban board or various gadgets which could be embedded in Confluence

Please let us know if you need any support with the add-on adoption.

Thanks,

Yuri
