Hi,
I have a JIRA plugin listed, but for an update the UI requires three highlights to be defined - each to be documented with a screenshot. The update only contains bugfixes which do only add 1 new highlights/features/screenshots
How should I proceed?
I worked around by splitting old information which already was in place, but I don't think customers like that. What should I do to provide my customers with the information the are used to?
However, do I need to invent additional features for each single update that may occur - this is not the way I expect a plugin-upload page to work.
Cheers,
Matthias
Hi Matthias,
The addition of highlights is a one-time procedure for all add-ons. After you've supplied the highlights once, uploading a future version will re-use the existing highlights and screenshots by default.
hope this helps!
John
Hi Matthias,
Allow me to refer you to my prior answer to this question. At this point, I would also say that visual consistency among profiles is important. We know that the profile design that include highlights is more effective at convincing users to download add-ons.
Cheers,
Dave
