Hello
I'm have a question about user sharing in tempo. I didn't found anything in docs about users sharing.
just an example:
I have 2 users in JIRA
user1 is manager of Project1 and lead of Team1 that works on it (Project1 is linked to Team1)
Team1 has 2 users: user1 as lead and user2
user2 is manager of Project2 and lead of Team2 that works on it (Project2 is linked to Team2)
Team2 has 2 users: user2 as lead and user1
user1 works on issues Proj1-1 (Project1) 1h and Proj2-1 (Project2) 2h
user1 opens Tempo Timesheet for User user1 and see his time for both project - 3h
and sends his Timesheet for approval
user1 opens Tempo Timesheet for Team team1 and can approve Timesheet (3h) of user1
so it looks like user1 can approve time from Project2 where only user2 is time approver
seems it's not correct
is it a feature?
probably I didn't understand the approval process of Tempo the right way.
I would like to configure approval process in Tempo following way:
if user2 is lead of Team2 and Project2 is linked to Team2 -> only user2 can approve time on Project2
is it possible with Tempo?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Alex,
This is the expected behaviour. The approvals are team based, which means that a user with approve timesheets permission (team lead) can approve the timesheets of his team members, no matter which projects they log work on.
There is an open feature request for this in our issue tracker. You can vote and comment on it here: https://tempoplugin.jira.com/browse/TT-455
