Some changes in atlassian-plugin.xml doesn't take effect when i reinstall my developed report plugin

yunfengg February 24, 2013

Could anyone give me some solution? There, i'm developing an report plugin. When i do some change in atlassian-plugin.xml (e.g I add a <property> in <properties> of <report>). then i repackaged it and reinstalled it, i found it took no effect until i restart JIRA. Is there any better solution rather than restart JIRA?

Try using FastDev. It'll detect the changes to your plugin and reload it. I'll warn you, it doesn't always work. A safer way is to start the atlas-cli and issue a "pi" command whenever you want to reload the plugin.
