I've had this problem before but never did resolve it. I've used Deploy4Me to deploy Jira Software to a Digital Ocean droplet which is running Ubuntu 16.04.6 (LTS) x64.
I now want to install Jira Portfolio.
Now in Jira Software admin when I go to Atlassian Marketplace for JIRA, I can't see any addons and I get the message "The Atlassian Marketplace server is not reachable. To avoid problems when loading this page, you can disable the connection to the Marketplace server.".
The help says that Universal Plugin Manager needs access to: https://marketplace.atlassian.com
https://marketplace-cdn.atlassian.com
But how do I do this ? If I ping marketplace.atlassian.com from the ubuntu console I get "Ping: unknown host marketplace.atlassian.com". Exactly the same is I ping marketplace-cdn.atlassian.com.
What is confusing is his this worked yesterday but then I had to destroy the droplet. Today I recreated the droplet again using Deploy4Me but the only diffeence is that I installed Jira Software and Confluence on the same server.
Sounds like a firewall issue. You should make sure that the ports that JIRA and Confluence are running on have access to 80 and 443 traffic and to the domains specified above. I would make sure that the firewall is correct.
If that does not work it could be a proxy or SSL configuration issue.
