Time logged using JWT Post Function not showing up in worklogAuthor query

When I use the "Log Work" post function to log work on an issue, the issue work log tab shows that time has been logged on the issue. When I run a JQL searching for that issue (worklogAuthor = user and key=xxx-123), the newly created issue does not appear. When I move the ticket to another project, then move it back, the query shows the ticket as expected.

Any idea why I am not able to query this? We also noticed that when you extract the time logs, these tickets do not appear
