Trouble selecting specific attachments using Email This Issue plugin

Trying to create a transition that will send an issue in an email. On the "Update parameters of the Email This Issue Function for this transition" screen, for the "Add attachments to email" options it lists None, All, Newest and Attached in transition. I'm wondering why there isn't an option to allow for choosing specific attachments already attached to the issue (i.e. there are four attachments, but I only want to send one of them). If I select "Attached in transition" and select the document from my computer it will re-attach it to the issue and duplicate it if already attached to the issue. Are there any workarounds to allow for selecting only certain issue attachments or can I request an enhancement to the JETI plugin? Thanks.

Hi Anthony,

I understand the problem you described but it is not possible to solve. At least not in the way you wanted.

When you design your workflow and add the JETI postfunction, it is not possible to select specific attachments. Simply because there is not an Issue available in that context.

What could potentially be done is that you'd be able to specify a regexp. Attachments matching the regexp would be added. If this would help you, please submit a feature request here.
