Which credentials are used with WMI? - Insight Discovery

I'm running Insight Discovery on a Windows 10 Pro test environment. While testing WMI connections from Insight Discovery's settings i saw that the ability to connect through WMI was influenced by the user with which i was logged on.

I did some tests and these were the results. It seems that, if the logged user is an admin on the target machine, it uses those credential, and if it is not, it uses the credentials specified in the settings.

It is always using the credentials from the credentials settings 

anything else is not possible as the establishing an WMI Connection needs a username and password. We don't know the password of the user that is executing the discovery tool or service.

Thank you, maybe it's the test environment's fault, I'll look deeper into this.
