"Email This Issue": Iterate through subtasks to pick information

I need to iterate through the subtasks and include information in the template. I should have a couple of tables in template where the information from subtasks can be added. I understand this can be done using $!issue.subTaskObjects but I don't have experience in Velocity and very new to use "Email This Issue" plugin. Can anyone please help me with a code snippet for this.
