I’m trying to set up an automation on our Dev board so that whenever a user creates a new issue in the Bug column, it automatically changes the issue type to Bug.
Has anyone set this up before? Would love some guidance from the community

Columns on a board have statuses mapped to them. Can you share with us the configuration that details how statuses are mapped to the columns?
There is no option to detect the column a an issue is displayed within, because an issue can display in multiple boards and in different columns in each board simultaneously.
Can you tell us more about your process where you expect the column to specify the issue type rather than a status of an issue?
Hey Trudy,
Thanks for your help with this!
We're using a team-managed Software project, and the process is quite simple: we have a dedicated column for bug reporting. Ideally, whenever someone adds an issue there, it would automatically change its type to "Bug."
However, the team is fine with manually switching it for now. We'll see how it goes.
