Confluence users not in managed accounts

Paul Meerbeek September 3, 2025

Our policy is to have all users in managed accounts. This works fine for 1000+ users but for some reason users who only use confluence don't appear in manager users...

Hi @Paul Meerbeek ,

Thank you for your question.

The managed users are cross products, at organization level. In my understanding there should be another reason for this behaviour, independent to Confluence, some ideas:

  • The take over of managed users is set manually and not automatic, so some users aren't be claimed as managed users
  • The confluence users are not part of verified domain
  • Those users are internal at site level
  • Some not-billable policy in Atlassian guard that affect those users.

I hope it helps

Kind regards

Hi Matteo,

thanks for your reply, they are in the same domain as the managed users. During our sso migration the seem to be skipped. I will try to manualy add them.

Kind regards, Paul.

I've claimed those users manually to our domain which was successfull. Thanks Matteo for your support!

Paul.
