×Is it possible to make added/linked subtrees show up in Sourcetree on other workstations?

It would be good if the subtree meta (.git/sourcetreeconfig) data can be made part of the .gitmodules that way it can be shared with remote repositories.

I'm not familiar about how Sourcetree handles saving its data under the hood and did not understand your answer. Could you please clarify? As far as I can see, there is no "subtree meta data" within .git/sourcetreeconfig. Also, I did not uderstand the correlation between .gitmodules and subtrees.
