What do you mean by a "what if retrospective"? Thanks!
I find that many retrospectives could use an experimental mindset and ask "what if" questions to lead to hypothesis, experiment, and feedback to improve more.

you are exactly right! a few years back ther was an article posted on the Agile Coach section and it was related to "What if" Retros , i used it for a while but years later , (now) i couldn't find it .
