I am hoping someone can help. I have a specific automation set up on a board using butler and Zapier.
When a due date is set - populate the custom fields due date Day, due date Date & due date Time.
When a label is added move the card to another list that then triggers zapper to send an email containing the custom fields mention above.
The problem......... sometimes the fields aren't populated quick enough for the zapier automation and the email goes out with blanks for the Day, Date & Time.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or insight as to why the fields take longer to populate?
Thanks
If you have a large board with a lot of cards, actions on the board both manually and through Butler can take longer to complete which is potentially why these emails are being sent before the Custom Fields are completed.
You could get around this by sending your email directly from Butler and rather than using Custom Fields to display the due date information (day and time) you can pull this information directly into the email using Butler Time and Date variables on this page - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/#time-and-date-variables
Thanks you @Nathan Smith
I will need to check if it is acceptable for the email to have com directly from Trello and not from our domain specific email address.
I also need to work out have to put the right contact name in that is in a custom field. I assume some sort of wildcard variable?

You can use Custom Field variables in Butler to add information from Custom Fields into your rule, here's a link with some more information on how to use these - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/working-with-custom-fields/
You can also use generic Butler variables to add information from the card into emails sent by Butler - https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/butler-variables/
