Is anyone having issues with bold text being changed to italic text for no reason?

Whenever I type text into a Trello card and make it bold (ex. **Hello**) it will save it as bold originally but if I exit out of the card and open it back up the card has change the text to italic instead of bold. Is anyone else having this issue? 

I'm not sure if this is because of the new editing bar they added. I know the new editing tool is supposed to make things easier for people but it's just slowing things down and not allowing me to format things the same way even when still trying to do it the Markdown syntax way.

Just tested it and I wasn't able to reproduce your problem, it kept bold or italic (I wrote in both ways to see if it'd change), 

Are you able to test with a different browser? If you click on the bold icon to bold the text it'll keep or do you see the same behavior.

I tested with the web and app versions,
