I created a new private board last week and tried testing the @mentions to ensure they would work before deploying the board to other users. No emails are received when the @mentions are added to a card. We were planning to use the @mentions within the activity thread on the cards if/when we need to draw someone's attention to the card. This is working fine on other boards within our workspace. Any thoughts on how to get this working? Thank you!
Hi,
First, I want to check that when you use @mentions, that it completes the name of the member you are mentioning correctly?
Email notifications default to "periodically" and they are set as a user preference. You can set it here...
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Just for reference, here is a guide on Trello notifications:
Are you @mentioning yourself? If so, you'll never get notified because you've already seen it...
It is also worth mentioning that people will only be notified by email if the notification hasn't already been dealt with on Trello itself. So if they have an @mention and they are on the Trello board, clicking the bell will mean they won't get an email notification.
I just did a test and mentioned a second account from my main account. It did send the email almost immediately....a few minutes delay.

Yes I had @mentioned myself and my personal email account. It doesn't come through to either my work email or my personal email. Thanks. I will keep the link you sent handy. Appreciate your help!

Thats okay, lastly it is worth checking that your mailbox isn't blocking the emails. Instant Trello notifications could look a lot like spam for the more sensitive of mail filters...
Have you also looked at using desktop notifications instead of mail?
I'm just thinking out loud, hope it helps 😊

@Dreamsuite Mike Sorry, I did not see your last comment ... yes, I have made sure the notices aren't going to SPAM. Thanks for your help!
