I have a small project (one time per year) that I'd like to have a Trello board for. There would be about 7 others I need to assign tasks to and would prefer to do it under "checklist" but I do not want to pay over $100 per user for something we will use once. It's a trial run so I can get them to be interested in using Trello for more projects. Is that necessary? Can't I pay for the Premium and then assign tasks?

@Denise UI (Neesee) Welcome to the Atlassian community

Have you considered using Board Guests for this single Board?  https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/board-guests/

Hi, thank you for replying. I am uncertain how to "assign" a task to a guest. Is that possible without paying for more users at over $100 per user?

@Denise UI (Neesee) Once you add a user as a guest to your board then they will function as a normal user.  They can only be a guest on a single board or they will need a license.  Follow the directions on the KB I linked above.
