I use dates as references in description, comments and list items. Sometimes it´s hard to find some key date in the text wall of a card, so it would be nice to have a date tag [date]2018/02/22[/date] to be shown as an icon and the formatted date, like the Trello card replacement we have in comments.

Hi Rigueira,

Trello uses Markdown to handle special formatting in the description field. Markdown is not something we are able to change, as it is maintained by a third-party team.

You might be able to use existing Markdown features, such as Bold or Inline Code options, to make the date more prominent in the description. You can read more about Markdown and what it can do within Trello at https://help.trello.com/article/821-using-markdown-in-trello

Another option might be to use the Custom Fields Power-Up. Although this will not be useful for dates within the description, it will allow you to put a date at the top of the card as well as the front of the card.

Hope this helps!
