Hello
We are using Trello to organize the jobs in our team, using cards for each task. Each card includes the total planned hours for the task and the due date, but we cannot see if the actual hours are over or under the planned hours on a certain moment of time.
In order to improve our view of the task progress, we would like to show the planned and actual hours on a graph (amount of hours vs days). For the planned hours we can use either a linear approach (easiest) or a real plan (more precise).
Do you know any way for doing so?
Thank you for your help
Hello there!
Card Time In List for Trello can be used to track times spent on each list, measuring even previous times it has been on the same list.
It offers
- Measuring duration to or from due date
- Measuring cumulatuve duration on multiple lists
- Exports and much more…
All those are done automatically.
Then for the planned dates you can use custom fields.
Cheers!
Hi @Albert Garriga Rodriguez
I suggest that to do this you look at using a Power-up, if you go to https://trello.com/power-ups/category/it-project-management you will see many time management tools such as Planyway, Everhour and many more

Hello
Thank you for you answer.
Looking to the available power-ups I cannot find one that meets our needs. I will explain them better.
We are currently using the cards with starting and finishing dates and the total amount of hours (planned value). During the execution, actual hours are booked to each card, so we can see if the actual hours are over or under the total planned value.
What I would like to implement is a calculation of the actual to complete. This means the actual hours plus the planned hours to complete. For this we need a way to introduce the distribution of hours along the period (with a graph or table) in order to know the remaining planned hours in any moment of time.
This will allow us to see the deviations much earlier, with the possibility to apply countermeasures.

Have you looked into Planyway?

There are ways you can do this using custom fields, automations and dashcards but it'll take a little bit of time to set up.
It is something a Trello consultant could do for you or walk you through...
