I am using the free Trello account. Within the action log I can invite others. But typing an invite shows many others with the same name. Isn't his a security risk, or at least a privacy violation?
Apart from that, it makes it easier to accidentally invite a wrong person.
Looking forward to a reaction
regards,
Marco
Hey Marco,
Because Trello is at heart a social collaboration app, we took our cues from the other social networks, where you can easily search people on the site, but cannot see anything more about them than what they choose to make public. This means that your name, avatar, and bio show up publicly, but not your email address, and only public boards and teams will show up on your profile.
When adding a member by name or username, suggestions will be made from the list of all Trello users, but again, no member will be able to see your email.
You can view your profile here, and you can always consider making changes to your profile information (such as your name), and those will be reflected accordingly.
If you’d like to read more about our privacy policy, it’s available here: https://trello.com/privacy
That is exactly what happened to me. I was invited to a board from someone else accidentally that I didn't know.

It sounds like that might have been a case of mistaken identity, Glenn. That happens to my account sometimes when people look for a Garrett to invite.
For now, I'd suggest leaving the board: http://help.trello.com/article/804-leaving-a-board-in-trello
That will remove you from the board completely, and you won’t be seen in the members section any more, or receive any notifications about the board.
