When I do a "broad" search, all the cards found show up in a verticle list, but they are all smushed on top of one another.
They look the same when you pop out the list.
In the pop out list, it would be great to be able to sub-filter the search even more and be able to see the Whole card, like you can in the list normally.
Am I missing some way to search archived cards?
Your response, did not address the posed question.
I have read the FAQ page about search/filter modifiers.
I posed two questions / probably Santa Wish List features...
*Being able to search, then Sub-Filter/search the first search.
*Seeing the WHOLE card during a search, not the roll over SMUSHED cards and only 7? at a time...
Hi Wayne,
Sorry I didn't address your questions more precisely.
I see how a better view of the cards would be helpful when searching for them and I'll let my team know your interest in that. I'll also mention you'd like to be able to filter your searches so they can take that into account.
If you're curious about how our team decides on what requests we work on, this article gives some insight into that process: http://help.trello.com/article/724-submitting-feature-requests-for-trello

Bumping this back up to current.
Has there been any progress on a BETTER search functionality than the SMUSHED listed of randomly returned cards?

Hi Wayne,
Marta here, from Trello Support.
Thanks for your feedback on that! Right now, there are different ways you can search for cards. You can use filters to search for cards within a specific board or you can use the search tool to look for cards from all boards. Here's an article about the differences between searching and filtering: http://help.trello.com/article/972-filtering-vs-searching
I personally prefer filtering boards and there's a shortcut to start filtering, which is "f" on your keyboard.
From your screenshot, I see you'd like to find cards you've been assigned to, is that right? If you press "q" on your keyboard, you'll be able to filter by cards that have been assigned to you. That one is quite handy!
Then, there's the "Cards" view, which will display all the cards you're a member of. You can read more about that here: http://help.trello.com/article/819-viewing-all-of-your-cards
As a side note, if you are trying to find archived cards, the search operator is: archived will return archived cards.
I hope that helps!
