Hi all!!

I know that I can't hide card(s) from members that are invited to the board, but if I archive cards after the work has been completed and THEN invite the other member to the board will those archive card(s) be hidden from the newly invited member?  And if so, how can I as the admn retrieve those archved cards?

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi @Sylvia Jackman ðŸ‘‹

Welcome to the Community! I'm going to tackle your question in two parts:

  1. When you archive a card or board only Board Admins should be able to see and open recent closed / archived items. If you add a newly invited member and set them to admin permissions they will most likely be able to access anything in that boards archive.
  2. Archived cards will remain archived indefinitely. Although you or another board member can choose to delete those cards or send them back to the board at any time, they won't be deleted automatically. You can leave them archived for as long as you like and still retrieve them later whenever you need them. To unarchive an item...

On the board menu, choose "More" then choose "Archived items", find the card, and click "Send to board".

The search bar will bring up a list of archived cards that match your terms. You can use the same special operators as the search bar—see Searching for cards (all boards) for a full list.

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions just ask away 😃

All the best,

Laura

Thanks so much!  This is super helpful.  The group members that are being invited will only be members and will not have admin rights so this works great!!!
