How do you remove the "list name" from card link display?

I love that you can choose to display the title for Trello card links (and other URLs), but recently I noticed that it's started showing the "list name" in the card title as well - which makes it unnecessarily long. Is there a way to disable the list from showing in the card link/title?

Hi Nikita,

Thanks for reaching out!

Right now, it's not possible to hide the list name the card belongs to but I definitely understand how this could be helpful, so I've flagged this as a feature request with the product team.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.

+1 to adding an option to customize/disable this new feature please.

I manage an archival board that attempts to summarize the weekly tasks in a Checklist. Except the checklist is unreadable due to the list names being something already long like "Archived Week 23 :: 03/07/22".

On top of that, the bolded text and grey background makes it stand out much more than the card name, meaning that skimming through the checklist has me focusing only on the list name, and entirely ignoring the card name itself. Defeating the purpose and readability of trello links entirely.

I'm sure some people must find this feature useful, though its definitely a headscratcher (maybe if the list name is a single word, and actually conveys useful information? a very particular niche) At least allow us to disable it. Or better yet, open it up to a per-board customization. Fiddling with how it looks. But also to either disable it, or replace it with the board-name, or a custom-field, etc. to fit the specific use-case of that board.

Hi Vongsawat,

Thanks so much for sharing your use case!

I can definitely see how this feature would be most impactful where cards belong to lists with long names. I've added your feedback to our internal feature request.

Let us know if we can be of any more help, and have a great rest of your day.

Has this feature been added yet? And if yes, how may i use it?
I currently manage and lead the creation of a game's trello and I have things like "Quest 5: defeat x Bandits", where instead of the word Bandits, I have a hyperlink button. The quest and the Bandit cards are both in the same list but it still shows the list name on the hyperlink button, it's weird and also messes up the presentation of the description.

+1 to add this feature in case it still has not been added.

Hi there,

Thanks for your interest in this feature! And I see where you're coming from.

This feature hasn't been shipped yet, but I've added another +1 to the original request for our team to consider. It definitely helps to know how popular a feature request is when our Product team makes plans for the future.

Has this feature been added yet? It's been quite a while but I can't seem to figure out how to use it.

Hi,

Thanks for following up!

This feature hasn't been released yet and is still being considered by the development team. While I don't have an ETA for when or if this feature can be shipped, you can rest assured your comment will be taken into account.

Thanks again for your input!

Hi Team, as a daily Trello user with long and complicated lists that link alot between cards, I highly suggest giving the user the ability to hide the list name the card belongs to. The list name is distracting from the necessary content and makes Trello less enjoyable to use daily.
