I'm new to Trello so forgive me if the answer to this question is obvious.
but we have a small team board to manage a NFP campaign, most members are less savvy than I but when I (or anybody) enters some progress onto a card all team members receive an email about the update.
In that email there's a "reply via email" link.
I tried to reply using the link, my mail client opens and there's a new email ready to go but ...
(and I've tried to anonymise this link)
824279372 taxy360o2skpi3jdfz 2ttdb2zfzt862bz6vpy 0rdu08lbl0@boards.trello.com
this address doesn't work.
I don't know if it's the length of the address or the gaps.
How can we get this "reply via email" function to actually function ?
Hi,
I don't think it's the length of the address,it must be some crash of the browser or not all the members are connected or maybe it has been undone and the link is not anymore useful meanwhile you can try to edit manually direct at the label or card without making reply at the link
There's no browser involved.
the team gets an email
there's a 'reply via email' link
click on the link starts a new email
all this happens using a mail client ( like Thunderbird or Evolution or Outlook)
why would an email not send if it's supposed to write on a specific card ?
I couldn't care less if the entire team is logged into their trello account and watching the board.
So your suggestion to getting this feature to function is "don't use it, write directly onto the card" ?

sorry for the late response Yes i think it would be better to write directly in the card
